Regular Season
Dallas Cowboys 24 Loss Against New York Jets 27 (Week 1)
Dallas starts the game off on the right foot with 7 to 0 over the Jets and will continue the lead throughout the entire game. With good plays, and bad plays to end the game with a 27 to 24 victory for the Jets over the Cowboys, who were out played throughout 1/2 of the game, and a stopped punt for a Jets TD and several back and forth fumbles to find this a tight edge of your seat game from start to finish.
Tony Romo sealed the fate of the Cowboys by passing what was called the "What was he thinking" pass to Dez Bryant who was covered by D. Revis. A pass down the middle for a penalty for intentional grounding would have been better than the interception that ended the game.
Tony Romo played a good game tonight, up until he made the mistakes that cost the Cowboys the game.
Play-by-Play Action
.
- First Quarter: Dez Bryant with some great plays to start the Regular season, with a great run that set up a Tony Romo 3 yard pass to Dez Bryant for a Touchdown, and a D. Bailey kick to put the first points on the board in favor of the Cowboys in visiting Jets Stadium with 7 to 0 over the Jets.
- Second Quarter: D. Bailey with a 34 Yard Field Goal to make it a 10 to 0 lead over the Jets.
- Third Quarter: Tony Romo 36 yard pass to Miles Austin for a Touchdown and a D. Bailey Field Goal to continue the Cowboys lead over the Jets with 17 to 7.
- Fourth Quarter: F. Jones with a 1 yard run and a D. Bailey kick with continue the Cowboys lead over the Jets with 24 to 10.
M. Sanchez with a 4 yard pass to D. Keller for a Touchdown and a N. Folk Field Goal to put the Jets on the board with 7, with Dallas still holding the lead over the Jets with 10.
N. Folk with a 34 yard Field Goal with keep their hopes alive with a 17 to 10 score with Dallas still in the lead.
M. Sanchez with a 26 yard pass to P. Burress and a N. Folk Field Goal to make it 24 to 17 with Dallas leading by a TD.
Dallas punts the ball to the Jets to have it blocked by I. Trufant with an 18 yard blocked punt return and a N. Folk Field Goal to tie the game at 24 to 24.
N. Folk with a 50 yard Field Goal to put the Jets in the lead for the first time in the game with 27 to 24, and to clinch the win from the Cowboys on the 10th Anniversary of 9/11.
My Thoughts of tonight's game.
This was the much-anticipated game, the first of the season, of a season that was not supposed to happen at all. With some high hopes of a win, thinking and hoping that the Cowboys would pull it off, as they were not the favorite to win tonight, rather is was in hopes of a Jets victory because of the 9/11 Anniversary, or was it because the Jets was supposed to be the better of the two teams. Either way, this game had some edge of your seat and fussing at the screen moments that can only come from pure glory and pure aggravation with a QB that has not lived up to the hype. It is time that Tony Romo starts to play like the multi-million dollar player that he is supposed to be, or I think that the Cowboys need to find another GB that wants to win.

Dallas Cowboys 27 Win over San Francisco 49ers 24 (Week 2)
Dallas starts the game on the wrong foot, with a miss Field Goal attempt, and missed plays that made the Cowboy fans think of last season's upsets. This all started to fade away as the game continued. With the 49ers staying the in the lead through-out the entire game, until Romo along with Miles Austin connected to give this game the much needed kick in the butt, Texas style I might add, as Dallas wins it all in overtime, thanks to a Hail Mary throw from an injured Romo.
Play-by-Play Action
.
- 1st Quarter: Dallas gets the ball at the start of the game, only to give up a Field Goal and the San Francisco 49ers did not do anything either, to leave the 1st quarter a no score.
- 2nd Quarter: F. Gore with a 1 yard run to put the 49ers on the board, and then a Field Goal kick from D. Akers to make this a 7 to 0 game in favor of the 49ers.
- 3rd Quarter: J. Kitna with a 5 yard-pass to Miles Austin and a D. Bailey Field Goal to tie the game at 14 to 14.
- 4th Quarter: D. Akers with a 55 yard Field Goal to keep their lead over Dallas with 24 to 14.
- Overtime: Tony Romo with a 77 yard throw to Holley, and a 19 yard Field Goal from D. Bailey to win in overtime.
A. Smith with a 12 yard-pass to K. Williams, and then a Field Goal kick from D. Akers to make this a 14 to 0 game in favor of the 49ers.
Tony Romo with a 53 yard-pass to Miles Austin, and then a Field Goal from D. Bailey to put Dallas on the Board with 7 to 14, 49ers in the lead.
A. Smith with a 29 yard-pass to D. Walker and a Field Goal from D. Akers to put the 49ers back on top with 21 to 14.
Tony Romo with a 25 yard-pass to Miles Austin who stretches his body out to make it a touchdown to remember and a D. Bailey Field Goal to keep Dallas in the game. 24 over 21 in favor of the 49ers.
With a D. Bailey 48 yard Field Goal to tie the game, to bring it into overtime.
My Thoughts of tonight's game.
Dallas pulled this one out of the hat, with extraordinary plays by Miles Austin and Romo, along with Kitna and Bailey to show, that the Dallas Cowboys could make the plays to win their games, as long as the players can get it together as they did here in the 2nd 1/2 and in overtime.

Injuries
Tony Romo suffered a rib injury in the first half of Sunday's win over the San Francisco 49ers when cornerback Carlos Rogers hit Tony from behind. This injury included a fractured rib and a punctured lung according to Coach Jason Garrett; Romo should be able to play in the much-anticipated rivalry against the Washington Redskins.
Romo has to wear a rib protector beneath his uniform until he has fully recovered from this injury.
I strongly feel that Tony got the punctured lung when he went back into the game, as he has tackled on several plays, which could have resulted in the punctured lung.Pro Bowl wide receiver Miles Austin re-aggravated a hamstring injury after three touchdown catches during Sunday's win against the 49ers.
Running back Felix Jones sustained a shoulder injury.
Starting Centre Phil Costa re-injured his right knee.
Jason Garrett is giving his team an extra day off this week to help them recover from their injuries. It is not certain if the above players will all play in next week Monday night game, but one thing is certain, the Dallas Cowboys are a very talented bunch of guys that are ready to give it their all to make this a winning season, as displayed in Sundays win against the favored 49ers.
Dallas Cowboys 18 Win over Washington Redskins 16 (Week 3)
September 26, 2011 Washington Redskins win the coin toss to receive the ball in the start of this Monday Night Football game.
Play-by-Play Action
.
- First Quarter: Washing drives the ball to the red zone only to have G. Gano to kick a 46 yard Field Goal to put the first points on the board. Dallas gets the ball and has to settle for a 41 yard Field Goal to tie the game at 3 to 3. Redskins once again get the ball and drive it down only to settle for a Field Goal to put the Redskins in the lead over the Cowboys for 6 to 3.
- Second Quarter: Dallas gets the ball and once again, has to settle for a Field Goal.
- Third Quarter: Dallas gets the ball to start the third quarter, with a nice throw to Dez Bryant to keep the drive alive. Romo throw to Whitten for another first down, and with a Romo Hail Mary to wide receiver, intercepted by the Redskins. Then a pass from R. Grossman to T. Hightower for a 1 yard pass into the end zone to give the Redskins the only Touchdown of this game, and a Field Goal from G. Gano to give the Redskins a 15 to 9 lead in the beginning of the third.
- Fourth Quarter: Dallas gets the ball and once again, has to settle for a Field Goal from D. Bailey to make it a 1 point lead by the Redskins.
Redskins to kick a Field Goal blocked and recovered by the Cowboys due to a missed catch and set by the handler. Cowboys once again has to settle for yet another Field Goal to make it 3 Field Goals in the game for this first half and to put the Cowboys in the lead.
Redskins gets to ball back before the half, and settles with a 50 yard Field Goal to tie Dallas going into halftime.
Dallas gets the ball back and has to settle for a 41 yard Field Goal from D. Bailey to make it a 4 point lead for the Redskins.
Dallas gets the ball back and once again, has to settle for a Field Goal in the final minutes of the game, to put the Cowboys in the lead for the second and final time of this game with 18 to 16. Anthony Spencer helped to clinch this Monday Night Game with a sack and a forced Fumble. Dallas kneel the ball, and the clock runs out, with 1 timeout remaining by the Redskins, but they do not take it, as they know that there is no way that they can get the ball back to save the game.
Dallas wins with 18 over the Redskins 16.
Jones gets a 20-yard run, for the longest run of the season.
Dez Bryant with a 30-yard run.
Anthony Spencer, with a game winning sack and forced fumble.
D. Bailey with 6 Field Goals completion to win this game for the Dallas Cowboys.
My Thoughts of tonight's game.
Aggravated to say the least, with so many mistakes on the Cowboys team, it is a wonder I have a voice left, including my son. I tell you this much right now, Romo has proved himself to be a finisher, but, if he does not get some rest on them ribs and his lungs, he is going to have some major health issues in the future. For tonight's win over the Redskins, is something that I am especially proud of, as the Redskins were to full of themselves going into this game, and the Cowboys had to bring this back down to the good ole' Country Life. GO COWBOYS!!!

This was one of the most exciting games that I have seen the Cowboys play in a long time, though I was not able to watch it in its entirety, for what I did see, and what I read about, and the video's that I watched after the game, it was one for the Dallas Cowboys record books.

I feel that Dallas did a good job in holding their lead and winning tonight game. Even though, the 3rd quarter brought on a Dallas defense that was a little too over confident, and slacked off on defending Tampa, and this reflects the game, and with all fans, including myself, made for some nervous ticks and bad memories from the last 2 losses.
Dallas won this one, and now, we have to continue are wins and the Giants have to loose theirs.
