This picture was not taken at the first night, this might have been taken a few months later during their March 73 shows. Still working on their stage persona, you can see that Gene and Peter are the only ones that have full makeup on.
Though they would go through several other changes through the next few years, to what they become.
Ace only has the makeup around his eyes, the only thing needed was the white face paint to complete his makeup.
Through he did not change it very much after this.
Paul, just seems to be wearing eye makeup, he will then become the bandit, and then the star child.
