- The Hotel Diplomat was located at 108 West 43rd Street.
- The three bands funded the show 40/40/20 and agreed to split the proceeds by the same ratio at the end of the night with one representative from each band to supervise collection of admissions. Paul rented the venue for a fee of $450.
- The band used this show as a showcase for prospective talent scouts selectively invited. They were dressed in all-black (tops at least), each wearing their make-up designs.
- The Planets included guitarist Binky Phillips who would later help Gene record demos such as "Rotten To The Core."
